NOT DEAD

well a little more than a year later and we have an update!

finally lit the torch again after many years to help modify a CETMA rack to mount better to a Surly cross check.

My workshop is still not very well equipped but I returned to my roots and did the work with a hacksaw, couple files, and a really cheap crappy 3" chinese vise.

Come late winter/early spring big changes will be happening and I'll keep this place up to date.  Don't know if anyone even reads blogs anymore what with all that social media and facebookery, but I might as well keep on with it.

This comment verifies at least one person still reads blogs / uses RSS. Looking forward to updates!

checking in! sometimes I think I'm the last person on the internet who uses RSS...

btw, I (like many I presume) found your site searching for front racks on cross checks, so fitting that this is your comeback post. be well!

Hah, I decided to check out your blog on a whim just now, and it looks like if I'd done so Monday, I'd be looking at a year-old post. Awesome that you've got time to pick up the torch again, and in what sounds like an amazing setting -- sitting in a warehouse in San Francisco, you should be able to feel my jealousy when I read things like "450 acres" and "my own workshop".

I'm still loving the rack you made for my Soma Doublecross back in 2008/9. It's been on several tours now with who-knows-how-many thousands of miles. Your "lug" technique gets attention from folks that pay attention to the finer details. Hope to see more of your work when you get time!
