the wait is finally over

for almost a year i have been trying to get these grips.  i already own the GX1, which i love. ever since doing a couple 50+ grueling michaux races i decided i wanted bar-ends for those 5+ mile long, steep, out-of-the-saddle fire road climbs.  i watched the grips come into at stock at QBP and sell out the same day multiple times.  i was ready this time!

now that i actually have the grips i feel committed to do a michaux series race, which i wasnt necessarily planning on doing.  i would have like to do the stoopid 50 this past weekend, but i had to attend my brother-in-law's wedding.  if i did do the stoopid 50 i sure as shit wouldnt have run a fixed 34:18 like someone i know.

my first non-surly rack

this one is made for an IRO rob roy.  the owner of the bike was gracious enough to let me have the frame for the duration of the construction.  i inadvertently designed this rack to only work with pauls comp neo-retro canti's.  oops and your welcome at the same time?!

life changes

today i resigned from my job.

the owner and i didnt share the same beliefs on how a bike shop should operate.  already have another bike shop job lined up, this one is a lot more my style.  im really excited about this new job, and the best part is i get to commute into lambertville with my very-soon-to-be wife.  for starters its going to be part time, which should leave me ample time to continue constructing bicycle racks, maybe even more frequently than 1 or 2 days a week.  lately its been only 2-3hrs a week devoted to racks, but expect some new awesomeness soon.
